The word specifically means “The natural cessation of the sexual function in older men.” It occurs in men over 40 due to the dropping of the male hormones. The difference between menopausal women, and andropausal men, isn't very different. They both have decreased levels of estrogen and androgens, and can experience similar symptoms.
