Adrenal Glands
Adrenal glands are a pair of
glands that are located above the kidneys in males and females.
They produce a number of hormones such as estrogen, progesterone,
steroids, cortisol, and cortisone, and chemicals such as adrenalin
(epinephrine), norepinephrine, and dopamine. They also regulate
many functions in the body such as biochemical balance, heart rate,
blood pressure, the way the body regulates food, they handle stress,
and some other vital functions.
